St. Luke's Magic Valley is currently accepting applications for a Cardiovascular Echo Tech located in Twin Falls, Idaho.

The Cardiovascular Echo Tech performs all appropriate diagnostic testing including, but not limited to, duplex ultrasound and plethysmographic procedures, in order to obtain diagnostic information in the evaluation of patients with suspected abdominal vascular, arterial, cerebrovascular, venous, or other vascular disease.

ECHO TECH Requirements:

  • Registered (R.D.C.S.) or registry eligible according to American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's standards.
  • Must maintain the professional status of “Active” registered member.
  • Must complete CPR certification before hire date and maintain current certification. Acceptable certifications are American Heart Association HeartSaver (HS/AED), American Safety & Health Institute CPR & AED for the Community and Workplace, or all three components of American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, Infant & Child CPR.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of age appropriate care. Will perform appropriate procedures and protocols using knowledge and understanding to provide uniform and age appropriate care to patients/families.

  • Obtain diagnostic information (historical and clinical) from patient or patient records necessary for interpretation of the stud(ies).

  • Provide necessary reports for the referring physician(s), Medical Director, health information services and peripheral vascular lab files.

  • Maintain peripheral vascular lab records, charges, and the files to ensure items are properly recorded and filed.

  • Maintain all peripheral vascular lab equipment in good working condition to ensure clinically valid test results.

  • Maintain supplies for the peripheral vascular lab to ensure ample supplies for proper function of the service.

  • Serve as a role model and mentor to other non-invasive vascular techs.
