Our new Heart Care Institute features three new, state-of-the-art equipped Cardiac Cath Labs dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of heart disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are the first and only Inland Empire Hospital accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and provide specialized cardiac services for men and women. We are also the first STEMI receiving center in Riverside County.
We have an immediate opportunity for an OR Specialty Nurse to function as a clinical expert in Cardiovascular Surgery. You will coordinate and assist members of the operative team in performance of duties in the specialty service. You will manage and oversee instruments, equipment, and supplies, and assist with surgical procedures in a scrub and circulating role.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Current CA RN License required, CNOR preferred, with minimum of an AA degree. Must have three years of experience in the scrub and circulating roles in an OR setting with a special interest and ability in the cardiovascular field. Ability to troubleshoot specialty equipment and working knowledge of all surgical specialties are essential. A basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and the ability to assess the needs of patients from infancy to the elderly and modify care appropriately, are required.
