Cath Lab Manager


Basic Function:

The manager operates within Memorial Medical Center’s corporate and hospital mission, philosophy, goals and objectives.  The manager assumes 24-hour accountability for department management and quality of patient care.  The manager creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, team building and professionalism.  The manager assures that care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients serviced in his/her assigned department and that staff competency requirements include age-specific components.  Maintains positive physician and interdepartmental/intradepartmental relations as well as positive employee morale.

 

Specifications:    Knowledge, Training, and Work Experience:

 

1.       RN registered in the state of Illinois or graduate of approved School of Radiology (maintains an Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate).

1.       At least three years experience in acute care nursing/cardiac cath lab with demonstrated leadership/management skills.

2.       Bachelor’s degree held or being actively pursued; Masters degree preferred.

3.       Annual attendance at educational programs pertaining to areas of responsibility.
