The RN provides patient/resident care based on the nursing process. Patient/resident care is impartial, regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, source of payment, sexual preference or beliefs. Patients/residents of all ages are served including neonate/infant, pediatric/adolescent, and adult/ geriatric populations. Independent judgment is used regarding priority of work, changes in patient condition, evaluating patient/resident response to care, and emergency situations. The RN strives for excellence in clinical practice, patient/family teaching and communication skills.
This position is in the Cardiology Clinic, which is a physician office staffed by 3 Cardiologists and 1 ANP. The hours are between 8a-5pm, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.
The RN position rotates in three areas with the following general duties :
Triage - patient walk-ins, pharmacy refills, IV starts, phone calls, lab reviews
Float - intakes on patients, nurse visit appointments, and helps the Triage Nurse
Intake Nurse - follows the Clinic Physician, intakes on office patients, nurse visit appointments.
