Cardiovascular Operating Room Coordinator

In this key role, you will be responsible for:

Planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising patient care within the surgery unit
Day-to-day operations of the Cardiovascular Operating Room, ensuring policies practices, procedures and standards are followed
Working with the medical staff to coordinate surgical and nursing care management
Planning and overseeing monthly staffing schedules, including on-call scheduling
Guiding, directing and counseling staff regarding performance, problem solving and decision making
Completing annual performance appraisals for CVOR staff in a timely manner
Providing continual consultation for patient flow, staffing, and equipment selection and facility design issues

Qualified candidates must be Florida-licensed Registered Nurses with:

A minimum of five years of experience in Cardiac OR surgical nursing
Expert proficiency in all on-the-job specific clinical competencies that are required of the Cardiovascular OR RN
The ability to accept on-call duty, as needed
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent English language, communication and interpersonal skills
