As a Supervisor, you will provide leadership for assigned personnel and direct the flow of work within the department. Other responsibilities include assisting the department management in ensuring that department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed, performed and meeting budgetary boundaries as well as supervising, evaluating and disciplining employees. Selected individual must possess the ability to effectively communicate with cardiologists, staff, and management to ensure comprehensive and timely exchange of information. The position also requires knowledge of the behaviors, developmental stages, physical and emotional needs, life cycle changes, culture, and comfort and care appropriate to the population served. The populations that are served by the Cardiac Cath Lab and the prep and recovery area are identified in each of the department's scope of service.
Qualified candidates must be a Registered Nurse with 3-5 years cardiac experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab with supervisory skills preferably or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable job knowledge can be acquired. Candidates must have ACLS certification and preferably Cardiac Dynamics completion.
