About Cardiac Nursing Jobs
Cardiac nurses have devoted their career to the care of patients with heart problems. Registered nurses (RNs) work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness. They are advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities. When providing direct patient care, they observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress in patients; assist physicians during surgeries, treatments, and examinations; administer medications; and assist in convalescence and rehabilitation. RNs also develop and manage nursing care plans, instruct patients and their families in proper care, and help individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain their health. Cardiovascular Specialist RN

We are currently seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist RN
Overview:
The Cardiovascular Specialist RN works with and assists the Cath Lab Physician. The primary responsibility will be to assist as needed while performing in all phases of the cardiac catheterization. This will include scrubbing, circulating and monitoring during all procedures done in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Qualifications:
RN currently licensed in the State of Georgia. Experience in cardiovascular interventional procedures (coronary angioplasty, PCI, pacemaker, ICD, BI-V), Vascular interventions (IVC filters, peripheral angioplasy, stent, renals, artherectomy, etc). Must be competent in moderate sedation. This position requires knowledge of cardiac drugs, pressure monitoring, EKG interpretation and emergency procedures. Basic CPR is required and ACLS must be obtained within one year and must be maintained every two years. Must be able to take call for primary angioplasty (about 4-5 per month).
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts, On-call 10 days per month minimum
Status: Full Time
Shift hours: 0800- 1630
