Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech

We are currently seeking a full time Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech for our Cardiology Laboratory to perform examinations of the circulatory anatomy and other specialized cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures.

Job Description:

Performs all modalities of echocardiography and analyzes locates, evaluates and records pertinent data. Performs carotid ultrasound examinations and quantitative analysis of echocardiographic studies. Identifies flow disturbances and records measurements of velocities, quantifies lumen size and vessel stenosis. Evaluates validity of patients' data and test results. Schedules and coordinates tests and maintains operational logs. Participates in the collection and documentation of quality assurance information and reports critical values. Adheres to laboratory policies and procedures, safety rules, and infection control policies.

Job Requirements:

Education:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
Required: Two year experience in echocardiography and/or cardiovascular ultrasound.

Licensure/Certification:
Required: All of the following:

Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
-OR- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
-OR- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Preferred:

Graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography/vascular program.
5 years experience in echocardiography and/or cardiovascular ultrasound.
