The chosen candidate will perform concurrent monitoring of patients on telemetry and event monitors, and perform routine and emergency EKG’s in order to provide diagnostic tools for diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications include:
• Must have two years experience performing cardiographic procedures.
• Must be able to demonstrate all telemetry related functions and complete the three day EKG course with a passing grade of at least 80% within the 90 day probationary period, OR,
• Must be able to pass department Telemetry Test with a passing grade of at least 80%. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all EKG procedures.
• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment in order to monitor its general working condition.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and hospital staff.
• Must be able to demonstrate patient-centered/patient-valued behaviors.
• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of computers.
