JOB SUMMARY:

Performs Cardiovascular procedures in the Invasive Cardiology Department under the supervision of the Cardiologist at a level not requiring constant supervision of the technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures ,that require independent judgment. Assumes responsibility for designated Lab and any procedures performed in that Lab as required. Able to perform device implant procedures with Cardiologist or Surgeon. Able to perform peripheral procedures, with Cardiologist or Vascular MD. Responsible for basic patient care and quality customer service.  Acts as a resource person for staff members in Cath Lab. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCIS) or Radiological Tech(Registered)CV or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RCIS) or LPNII (RCIS) or RN(RCIS) (all licensing and registrations must be ACTIVE)
  • Currently Licensed or Registered  in the state of Florida.(Excluding CVT)(Through C.C.I.)
  • Current BLS and ACLS (90 day grace period will be given from date of hire).

Minimum of 2 years experience in Invasive Procedures. Basic knowledge of hospital computer applications. Must be able to float to device implants or EP Lab or Peripheral Lab as needed. Effective October 1, 2007, all CV2’s must be registered and/or licensed (personnel prior to this date are grandfathered)
