About Cardiac Ultrasound Tech Jobs
An Ultrasound of the heart is sometimes referred to as echocardiography. It's a test using high-frequency sound waves to create an image of the heart. Images from reflected echoes are displayed and recorded. No radiation (x-ray) is used during ultrasound.
The test is done by a cardiac sonographer (a technologist with extensive training in ultrasound) and takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete. A benefit of an echocardiographic examination is that images are in real time giving Cardiologists a helpful tool for diagnoses. (Source: radiologyinfo.com and American Heart Association)
Cardiac Sonographer
Frontera Strategies, LP is seeking registered cardiac sonographers to join our team. Frontera is a mobile provider of cardiac/pulmonary diagnostic testing services with offices in Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
We are seeking ambitious individuals with two-to-four years allied health experience and/or degrees, current ARDMS, CCI (in cardiac and vascular) and BLS or ACLS certifications, recent sonography experience in a clinical setting and a current driver's license.
