About Cardiac Ultrasound Tech Jobs
An Ultrasound of the heart is sometimes referred to as echocardiography. It's a test using high-frequency sound waves to create an image of the heart. Images from reflected echoes are displayed and recorded. No radiation (x-ray) is used during ultrasound.
The test is done by a cardiac sonographer (a technologist with extensive training in ultrasound) and takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete. A benefit of an echocardiographic examination is that images are in real time giving Cardiologists a helpful tool for diagnoses. (Source: radiologyinfo.com and American Heart Association)

We are currently seeking a full time Echo/Vascular Technician to provide non-invasive diagnostic testing for carotid duplex and vascular studies, transthoracic scanning of the heart using cardiac ultrasound equipment for the quantization, diagnosis and follow-up of cardiac diseases. Also to provide Holder Scanning and hook up for patients with cardiac arrhythmias or other types of cardiac diagnoses.

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a Cardiac Ultrasound program or sufficient cardiac ultrasound training to perform job duties. Holter monitoring experience desired. Some on the job training will be provided.
Experience:
Previous experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician is preferred.
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication.
