Cardiac Ultrasound Tech jobs are regulated by the Ohio Medical Board. The State Medical Board of Ohio is a state agency extablished by the legistlature to protect the public health, safety and welfare by regulating the practice of medicine within the state of Ohio. The Board is responsible for licensing physicians and surgeons, osteopathic physicians and surgeons, podiatric physicians and surgeons, physician assistants, anesthesiologist assistants, massage therapists, cosmetic therapists, mechanotherapists, naprapaths, and acupuncturists. In addition to granting licensure to these professionals, the Ohio Medical Board seeks to ensure the safe and effective provision of medical care to the citizens of Ohio by monitoring and regulating the professional conduct of its licensees and enforcing the provisions adopted by the Board regarding misconduct.

We are currently seeking a full time Cardiac Sonographer for our Echocardiology Department to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and to assist in analyzing the data for interpretation within the Cardiology department of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents.

Required Skills:
Good verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to relate to diverse age and demographic backgrounds. Possess working knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the normal heart and the morphology and pathophysiology of common congenital heart defects. Demonstrated understanding of the basic principles of ultrasound.
Education/Work Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology preferred. Two years college coursework in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent, and current registry as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS). Minimum one year of Pediatric Echocardiography experience preferred.
