About Cardiology Jobs
A cardiology physician is trained to discover, treat and prevent problems and diseases of the cardiovascular system-the heart, arteries, and veins. Cardiology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine (IM). Cardiologists have three years of training in internal medicine and three addition years that specialize in cardiology.
Cardiologists often perform tests that determine how well a person's heart is working. These procedures may include a treadmill test (exercise electrocardiogram), cardiac catheterization, or angioplasty. Cardiologists can further specialize in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology. (Source: American College of Cardiology)

Test The Waters.
There are many reasons some providers choose to pursue temporary work. Some have just completed their schooling, haven’t established a permanent practice yet and are interested in trying something different before settling down. Others want to experience a variety of facilities and practice settings to see what fits them best. In some cases, locum tenens work may be more profitable than running one’s own practice and paying for overhead, staff and medical malpractice insurance. Those nearing retirement but who would like to continue working on a part-time basis appreciate the flexibility afforded by temporary work. For three or four days, for three or four weeks, or longer. When you work with Staff Care, it’s your choice.
