The Board is responsible for licensing physicians and surgeons, osteopathic physicians and surgeons, podiatric physicians and surgeons, physician assistants, anesthesiologist assistants, massage therapists, cosmetic therapists, mechanotherapists, naprapaths, and acupuncturists. Genesis HealthCare System is seeking cardiologists to join our practice locations in Zanesville and in the surrounding service areas.
Our team currently consists of ten cardiologists which includes three interventionalists, two vascular surgeons, and two cardiothoracic surgeons.
Our heart services include open-heart surgery and other complex and high-risk cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures; emergency cardiac services, diagnostic cardiac care; and a cardiac rehabilitation program.
Call obligations within the cardiology service line are partially covered by hospitalists and intensivists based on patient presentation. Genesis HealthCare System is the only provider of heart surgery in our primary, secondary and tertiary service areas.
We have accredited echo, vascular, cardiac rehab and diabetes programs. Our cardiac program consistently meets or exceeds national standards set by the ACC and STS, while serving a population of patients with risk adjusted severity of illness scores greater than that of comparable facilities. Genesis' public reported quality ratings are also very impressive.
