As part of the Health Care Practitioner Regulation, the mission of the Florida Board of Medicine is to protect health care consumers by establishing and enforcing health care standards, licensing qualified health care practitioners and facilities, and disseminating health care information to the public. The Florida Board of Medicine evaluates applications for licensure and examination, conducts board meetings, administers policy, issues final orders in imposing discipline, reviews and approves continuing education providers, and audits licensure compliance for continuing education.
