About Cardiology Jobs
A cardiology physician is trained to discover, treat and prevent problems and diseases of the cardiovascular system-the heart, arteries, and veins. Cardiology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine (IM). Cardiologists have three years of training in internal medicine and three addition years that specialize in cardiology.
Cardiologists often perform tests that determine how well a person's heart is working. These procedures may include a treadmill test (exercise electrocardiogram), cardiac catheterization, or angioplasty. Cardiologists can further specialize in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology. (Source: American College of Cardiology)
This practice is recruiting for a full time Interventional cardiologist & using locum tenens in the mean time. They would like someone who can commit to at least 2-3 months with a possible extension.
