A cardiology physician is trained to discover, treat and prevent problems and diseases of the cardiovascular system-the heart, arteries, and veins. Cardiology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine (IM). Cardiologists have three years of training in internal medicine and three addition years that specialize in cardiology.
Cardiologists often perform tests that determine how well a person's heart is working. These procedures may include a treadmill test (exercise electrocardiogram), cardiac catheterization, or angioplasty. Interventional Cardiology Opportunity-30 Minutes from Tampa
Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, in conjunction with the area's busiest cardiology practice, seeks a board certified/board eligible Interventional Cardiologist. An interest in pacemakers and TEE would be a plus.
In this practice, you will join a well-established cardiologist who is board certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease and the area’s busiest cardiologist. Currently, he performs approximately 800 catheterizations and 250 interventional procedures annually.
Position offers a competitive hospital sponsored two year compensation plan with production incentives, partnership opportunities after the second year, and shared call of one in five, along with a full and comprehensive benefits package.
