About Cardiology Jobs

A cardiology physician is trained to discover, treat and prevent problems and diseases of the cardiovascular system-the heart, arteries, and veins. Cardiology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine (IM). Cardiologists have three years of training in internal medicine and three addition years that specialize in cardiology.

Cardiologists often perform tests that determine how well a person's heart is working. These procedures may include a treadmill test (exercise electrocardiogram), cardiac catheterization, or angioplasty. Cardiologists can further specialize in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology. (Source: American College of Cardiology)

Locums Invasive Cardiologist Board Certified

They are looking for a BC doc that can work 1 week a month to supplement their current staff on an ongoing basis. They will be doing Invasive and non-invasive procedures and they are flexible about which week but they will be 24/7 for that week. After their 8 to 5 shift, they will be on call for the hospital. The group does around 200 cases a year, 3 to 5 nuke cases a day and 2 to 3 Caths a day. This is ongoing for the 1 week a month.
