About Cardiology Jobs
A cardiology physician is trained to discover, treat and prevent problems and diseases of the cardiovascular system-the heart, arteries, and veins. Cardiology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine (IM). Cardiologists have three years of training in internal medicine and three addition years that specialize in cardiology.
Cardiologists often perform tests that determine how well a person's heart is working. These procedures may include a treadmill test (exercise electrocardiogram), cardiac catheterization, or angioplasty. Cardiologists can further specialize in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology. (Source: American College of Cardiology)
Prominent group with excellent clinical research program seeking an additional invasive non-interventional or strictly non-invasive cardiologist to be the fourth partner in the office. This position is eligible for J1 sponsorship.
This is a large cardiology driven multispecialty group with locations around the state. The partnership has a large office affiliated with a major teaching institution in Indianapolis as well as a heart hospital in the same location.
They have numerous offices in other communities throughout the state and they are looking for an additional invasive non-interventional or strictly non-invasive cardiologist for their office in North Central Indiana. Candidates with advanced training in imaging and non-invasive peripheral vascular studies are welcome. Call will be 1:4 weekdays and weekends and is not rigorous. They go to one hospital and one office.
The group offers a competitive financial package with a very reasonable buy-in. Quality of life and time with the family is important to this group. This is an excellent and stable opportunity for someone interested in the Midwest.
Fellows with strong credentials finishing their training in 2010 or 2011 as well as senior physicians will be considered.
