Job Description:
Cath Lab Supervisor will oversee day to day clinical operations following best practices and regulatory guidelines and promote exceptional patient care. The person in this position participates in the selection, training and development of staff in the Cath Lab and provides lead with fiscal accountability, positive unit relations with other departments and medical staff and assures services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulation requirements.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Oversees day-to-day clinical and technical operations. Monitors and prioritizes workflow. Responsible for providing staffing schedules, call log and participation in task force meetings concerning the Cath Lab. Reports to Director of Imaging and/or Manager and communicates day to day activities and any updates pertinent to department affairs. Provides positive reinforcement with staff, physicians, and units within the hospital. Works with Director concerning inventory Management, new supplies protocol, and knowledgeable of vendor contracts. Performs other duties as assigned to support the duties and responsibilities of the job and operational needs to the department.
Qualifications:
Current licensure / certification as Cath Lab professional - RCIS. ALS/BLS required. RN or RT national and state licensure required. At least two years of recent leadership experience. Position available in Dept 4300 at Baptist Hospital.
