About Catheterization Lab Jobs
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is a dedicated service for diagnostic and interventional cardiology. It's also known as the cardiac cath lab. In this department several interventional procedures are preformed on patients who require peripheral diagnostic and acute cardiac care. It is routine to diagnose heart problems as well as repair them in the cath lab.
Cardiac Catheterization is a non surgical procedure and is minimally invasive. It's used to diagnose and treat problems with the heart and arteries. Cardiac Catheterization is sometimes referred to as a heart cath or angiography.
Physician Assistant
Satilla Regional Medical Center is located in Waycross GA and serves a 9 county area. SRMC is licensed for 231 beds and currently expanding services in the Heart Center to include Interventional procedures. There are 2 employed Cardiologist and 1 PA currently on staff. This position would provide care to Cardiology patients in the clinic setting, heart center as well as consult patients in the Emergency Department.
Obtains H&P
Treats Acute/Chronic Cardiology problems and provides direct patient care
Pre-op and Post-op care for cardiology procedures
Maintains written notes and dictation related to treatment and patient status
Provides health education to patients and families
Seeks educational opportunities to enhance personal growth
