About Franciscan Skemp Healthcare - Mayo Health System
Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, a multispecialty group/healthcare network, part of Mayo Health System, has more than 200 physicians and associate providers on staff, serving a patient population base of 240,000. Its main clinic and hospital facility (250 beds) are connected and located in La Crosse, WI. The Emergency Medical & Trauma Center is staffed 24 hours by Emergency Medicine physicians. The Medical Center has a full range of special care units and services such as a 15-bed ICU/CCU, NICU, cardiac cath lab and Renal Dialysis Unit. Construction of a 100,000 sq. ft. Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (CAMS) at our La Crosse Campus was completed in July 2004. Phase I of the CAMS building includes a new Day Surgery Unit and new high-tech OR suites in addition to a comprehensive Cancer Center, including chemotherapy and radiation oncology. In addition to its La Crosse Campus, Franciscan Skemp Healthcare has two other small community hospitals in WI and twelve primary care clinics within a 60-mile radius of La Crosse in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
