About Electrophysiology Jobs

Cardiac electrophysiology is the study of the heart's electrical system. An electrophysiology study or EP requires insertion of an electrode catheter into the heart. The test is designed to determine the cause of heart rhythm disturbances and usually takes about two to four hours to perform. Some electrophysiology studies are done to diagnose abnormalities while others are done for treatment or correction of certain conditions, such as Pacemaker Implantation, ICD Insertion, or Cardiac Ablation.

Cardiac electrophysiology is considered a subspecialty of cardiology, and requires one or more years of fellowship training beyond a general cardiology fellowship. (Source: WebMD and Wikipedia)

Cardiologist

This is one of several clients in Nevada with whom we are working.

Large group of cardiologists in metro NV is seeking additional Interventional Cardiologist and an Electrophysiologist for 2009.  The groups would like to hire at least three new physicians to meet the growing demand of their patient population and to replace physicians who are set to retire in the next 2-3 years.  Call is shared equitably among all of the group members and is determined by the office in which the new physician practices- there are two main offices for the group.  The group has their own cath lab as well as nuclear and echo equipment.  The group places a strong emphasis on family, and the physician's are always finished with their day's work by 6pm (usually earlier).  This enables them to enjoy the many activities to do in this beautiful area.

One of the strongest aspects of this position is the quality of life.  After fulfilling the two-year track to partnership, physicians receive ten weeks of vacation per year!  The group is seeking existing practice physicians or physicians completing their fellowship.

Please give us a call to learn more specific details about this position 866-467-0404, or email Kyle Wallace at kyle@medstarco.com.  We will be happy to share with you the short and long term financial potential of the physicians in this group, as well as details about other groups in Nevada.

MedStar specializes in cardiology recruitment and represents over 100 cardiology groups across the country.  We seek to find positions that fit our candidates' preferences, both geographically and professionally.  Please contact us at 866-467-0404 to let us know your specific interests and career goals, and if our current clients do not meet your qualifications, we will actively campaign to find the position that meets your needs and the needs of your family.  MedStar truly has a unique and refreshing approach to recruiting- we understand the cardiology field, we have an excellent knowledge of the job market, and we work on behalf of our valued candidates.  We look forward to working with you.
