About Maine Electrophysiology Jobs
Electrophysiology jobs are regulated by the Maine Medical Board. The mission of the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine is to safeguard the health, welfare, safety and lives, of the people of Maine by ensuring that the public is served by competent, ethical and honest practitioners. To accomplish this the Board will license only qualified medical doctors and physician assistants, monitor the practice of medicine to insure the integrity of the profession and to maintain high professional standards and conduct, provide the public of Maine a forum to have complaints heard and impartially investigated, discipline and sanction licensees who violate the standards of conduct or whose performance is below minimum acceptable standards of proficiency, and undertake special projects, often in collaboration with other interested groups, that both enhance the profession and meet public needs.
Looking for BC/BE Cardiologist in Maine.Board Certified preferred / Board Eligible if coming out of training. This is a great family location in a safe-small community with immense quality of life. There are many shopping, eateries, and cultural activities to choose from. The University of Maine at Machias is usually brimming with events and shows for the young and old alike.
Year 1: MGMA Guidelines/ negotiable
Year 2+ consistent with year 1, plus production
Bonuses: based on % of charges (25% charges) - base salary
Equipment: HP EKG machine located within office practice. Dictaphone and Echocardiogram interpretation station is located within the Cardiopulmonary Department. The Hospital purchased a GE Vivid 7 Echocardiogram machine in March 2008. There is a Quinton Stress Test machine as well as King of Hearts Event Recorders and Holter monitors. A newly constructed nuclear medicine suite houses a GE Dual-head Infinia Hawkeye Camera with SPECT and CT Localization.
Weekday hours: Monday – Friday: 8am-5pm
Call Structure: 1:2 Single practice specialty is required to take 10 call days a month per Medical
&n bsp; &nbs p; Staff Bylaws.
EKGS: 3,000
Stress tests (including Nuclear): 700
Echocardiograms: 600
Holter Monitors: 110
Malpractice Insurance ($1/3 Mil)
*Tail Coverage: covered only if fulfill 3 year commitment as per contract
Vacation: 4 weeks, plus 1 week for CME
CME Reimbursement: $2,500+
401K – eligible after 12 month of service – Matching plan
Health Insurance – 4 different plans to choice from (no vision or dental)
Relocation Allowance: up to $10K
