Looking for a BC/BE EP, Invasive, or non-invasive Cardiologist in Northwestern KY. This position is a hospital employed non-interventional position. Call will be shared (1in 2), but the call is very minimal and they will be very flexible for time off. Facility is offering good compensation in the mid to upper $400k/s (negotiable) with 12 weeks vacation. Very good opportunity for a mature cardiologist looking for a great lifestyle. They do not have to do rounds at the main campus and someone else will do the caths, so virtually no travel time. Responsibilities: Maintain office hours at least 4 days per week for patient care Perform daily rounds and accept consultations at Share weekend call (1:2 again very minimal) Share consultations We have a hospital employed group of 10 total cardiologists, 3 interventional, 2 EP’s, 5 invasive/general, along with several mid-levels and a slightly smaller private group made up of 3 interventional, 3 non-invasive, and 3 internal medicine physicians. Both groups cover outreach areas in both Ohio and KY. The facility is located 5 miles from Ironton Ohio and 20 miles from Huntington WV. Our physicians have a service area of over 500,000 patient population and our heart and vascular services are extended out over 120 miles with patients traveling several hours for our cardiac services. To give you an idea of the volume, last year the cardiac and vascular teams performed over 14,000 procedures. Our cath labs run from 50-60 cases daily, our record being 108 in one day. I can tell you the opportunity here is very good and you will be pleasantly surprised with what you find here from a medical center standpoint and community. It’s beautiful here and the surrounding area, we have all 4 seasons, reasonable real estate, great public and private schools, theatre and arts, and much more. Lexington, KY is within an hour and a half drive, while Columbus and Cincinnati OH are within 2hrs.
