About Electrophysiology Jobs

Cardiac electrophysiology is the study of the heart's electrical system. An electrophysiology study or EP requires insertion of an electrode catheter into the heart. The test is designed to determine the cause of heart rhythm disturbances and usually takes about two to four hours to perform. Some electrophysiology studies are done to diagnose abnormalities while others are done for treatment or correction of certain conditions, such as Pacemaker Implantation, ICD Insertion, or Cardiac Ablation.

Cardiac electrophysiology is considered a subspecialty of cardiology, and requires one or more years of fellowship training beyond a general cardiology fellowship. (Source: WebMD and Wikipedia)

Permanent Electrophysiology Cardiologist Board Certified

GA group is expanding and looking for a fulltime EP Cardiologist to do a full range of cases including everything from noninvasive to the most complex interventional procedures. There are no EP's in the group right now they are receiving an abundance of new cases and there is very little competition in the area. Currently more than 50% of procedures are non-medicare/medicaid overall. The normal office hours are 8:30-4:30pm.
