Cardiology Job in Austin, TX

  • Position will start 50% HF and progress to 100% HF within 3 years.
  • Participation in established Lvad and Transplant program.
  • Successful completion of Cardiology Fellowship.
  • Voted the "most livable city" in the United States by Forbes Magazine, the city offers entertainment ranging from the University of Texas Longhorn games to the Austin Symphony Orchestra concerts.
  • Dallas, Houston, San Antonio are only a few hours away.
  • Spend your leisure time water skiing on one of several local lakes or hiking and biking on the miles of city trails.
  • The main location is proximal to South Austin Medical Center, a facility dedicated to growing the existing cardiology service line.
  • The primary focus of this role will be to grow the CHF program and establish a VAD program.
  • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
  • Successful completion of Heart Failure Fellowship, or active board certification in Heart Failure.
  • Austin, the capital is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
  • Possession of Federal DEA number without restriction.
  • The cardiologist will be working with Dr. John Dieck to further develop the aforementioned programs.

  • The practice has a main clinic location in South Austin and 8 satellite clinics.
  • Additionally, general cardiology.
  • Unrestricted license to practice within the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain.
  • Texas Heart and Vascular is a well-established and stable Cardiology practice with 7 Physicians.
  • We anticipate about 90% of the practice will be focused on these two facets.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
  • Ground floor involvement in new Lvad program.
