Physician - Cardiology Job in Jackson, MS

  • Board Certification in Cardiology.
  • The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 1B facility serving Veterans in Mississippi and parts of Louisiana.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Provide comprehensive Cardiac services in Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency department settings.
  • Provide education and counseling to veterans and families in preventive care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Background and/or Security Investigation required.
  • United States citizenship.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • This is a non-interventional and non-invasive role.
  • Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board and Compensation Panel (for physicians and dentists) in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected.
